I had several good teachers in high school , and classes in graphic arts, . . . I began to consider the idea of being a commercial artist\/illustrator and started seeking \u201csomething else\u201c as a career in the arts. This did not please my parents, <strong>who wanted<\/strong> <strong>me to learn a profession so I could earn a living<\/strong>.\u00a0 I was unsure as to whether I had the courage to be an artist. I was ignorant about the art world and the business of art . . .\u201c<\/p>\n<p>(. . . ich hatte mehrere gute Lehrer in der Aufbauschule und Graphikkurse . . . und ich begann, mit dem Gedanken zu spielen, Gebrauchsgraphiker und Illustrator zu werden, und ich sah mich nach \u201cetwas Anderem\u201d f\u00fcr eine Kunstkarriere um.
